VAAOSE Today for members and associates
How timely was it to rediscover this old VAAOSE post from almost four years ago to the day, while setting up a new blogspot address for VAAOSE Today? SO for all of you VAAOSE members and associates, would anyone care to discuss a status update since the General Review (back in 2009)?

What a sad state for this profession that this VAAOSE blog wasn't filled with dozens of comments over the past few months. So does anyone have a status update on what's going to happen next?
It seems like AOSE's keep getting pushed closer to the edge of irrelevance with each turn of the regulatory screw. Does anyone else find it awkward that an essentially "unamended" version of 18 VAC 160 ‑ 20 is currently under General Review by the Board for Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators until April 17th (there's a public hearing 4/15).

Furthermore, there's barely four public comments at the moment without a peep about the inclusion of all those amendments about onsite professionals. Some relief for small businesses might be available under the Administrative Processing Act, but I keep getting a sense that no one wants to rock the boat. As I see it, the General Review "in-progress" may be one last opportunity for AOSE's to iron-out a workable license that does not serve as a restraint of trade.
